Remove horizontal black bars

If you're seeing horizontal black bars on your screen and your CloudDeck's stream is not filling the whole screen, you can try the following:

  • Open the Moonlight settings and change the resolution to Custom.
  • Enter the native resolution of your client device's screen or a resolution with a similar aspect ratio. Recommended values are 1680x1050 for most MacBooks and 1280x800 for the SteamDeck.
  • Click OK and connect to your CloudDeck.
  • Press Esc to open the Steam menu.
  • Navigate to Settings → Display.
  • Uncheck Automatically Set Resolution.
  • In the dropdown that appears, select the same resolution that you have set in Moonlight.
