Fix black screen when launching Ubisoft games
1. Install system updates
- Switch to Desktop mode (Steam menu -> Power -> Switch to Desktop)
- Launch the Update System app from the task bar or start menu
- Install all updates, this process can take up to 20 minutes
- Shutdown your CloudDeck from the web portal and start it again
- If you see a green bar at the bottom of the screen after the update, change the video codec to H.264 in the Moonlight settings
2. Install the latest Proton-GE version
- From the start menu, launch the app ProtonPlus
- At the top left of the app, click on Steam and select Lutris in the dropdown
- Expand the Proton-GE section and download GE-Proton10-28
3. Install Ubisoft Connect
- Open Lutris from the start menu
- In the app, click the burger icon at the top and then Preferences
- Select Runners, scroll down and click the settings icon next to Wine
- Open the Wine version dropdown, select GE-Proton10-28, click Save and close the settings
- In Lutris, under Sources click the user icon next to Ubisoft Connect and follow the installation steps
4. Install and play your games
- Launch Ubisoft Connect from Lutris and login with your credentials
- Install and launch your games from Ubisoft Connect
